The Bulldog Reserve Pinot Noir from Ambullneo is a dark, ruby color with hues of deep magenta. Out of the glass it exhibits the bright, red-fruit aromas of ripe Bing cherry and strawberry; red plum, black truffle, and spices of white pepper and cinnamon accentuate the palate. Well-balanced acidity and lower alcohol content allow for a clean texture and soft mouthfeel.
Wine Spectator writes: “Tart, with good intensity to sour cherry, beet root, currant and freshherb flavors framed by firm tannins that turn herbal on the finish.Drink now through 2006. 140 cases made.”
