ALTAMURA 2004 CABERNET SAUVIGNON

Altamura Vineyards and Winery was established in 1985 by Frank and Karen Altamura. It is the only winery located in Wooden Valley (part of the Napa Valley appellation), though Stag's Leap Winery, Pahlmeyer and Caymus purchase grapes from this area. The Cabernet Sauvignon is dark and inky in color, exhibiting a bouquet of dark, blackberry fruit with hints of leather and truffle. It is big and rich, with complex layers of dark mountain fruit, cholocate, and oak spice on the palate, all of which is kept in balance by a smooth, velvety texture and well-integrated tannins.
